This is an original design by our store, a one-of-a-kind piece by the famous Iranian engraver Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Reza Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi Shah era. While teaching at Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate design, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhances its charm. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved in gold to match the stone's shape.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is a vivid, deep sky-blue color, often called "the color of spring sky," and is a high-quality stone with high hardness. In fact, this is also the first stone used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was beloved as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly prized during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places, with varying qualities. While a lot of turquoise from Arizona, USA, is brought into Japan, this Persian "Firuzeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastic reduction in output in recent years, making it very valuable.
