This is our original, one-of-a-kind design by Mr. Javaheri, a famous Iranian engraver. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at Tehran University of Fine Arts, he produced our jewelry from 1990 to 2007. The delicate design, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhances its charm. The back of each turquoise piece is hand-engraved in gold to match the stone's shape.

Characteristics of Persian Natural Firuze (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was transported to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is a vivid, deep sky-blue color, often called "the color of spring sky," and is a high-quality, hard stone. In fact, it was the first stone used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best source, turquoise of varying quality is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other countries. While much American Arizona turquoise is brought into Japan, this Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreasing production in recent years, making it very precious.
