This is an original, one-of-a-kind design from our store by Iran's famous engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Reza Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While also lecturing at the Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance its appeal. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved with gold to match the stone's shape.

Features of Persian Natural Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, originally mined in Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality with high hardness, boasting a vivid, deep sky blue color often referred to as "the color of spring sky." In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this "Persian blue" was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
In addition to Iran, the best quality producer, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other countries. While much turquoise from Arizona, USA, is brought into Japan, this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its dramatically reduced output in recent years and its resulting rarity.
