This is a one-of-a-kind original design by the famous Iranian jeweler Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was a jeweler who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at the University of Tehran's Faculty of Fine Arts, he produced our store's jewelry from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the individuality of each turquoise, further enhance its charm. The back of each turquoise is individually engraved with gold to match the stone's shape.

Characteristics of Persian Natural Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is the highest quality stone with high hardness, known for its vibrant, deep sky blue color, often called "the color of spring sky." In fact, it was the first stone used by humankind as an amulet for warding off evil.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best source, turquoise of varying quality is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, etc. While much turquoise from Arizona, USA, is brought to Japan, this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced because its production has sharply decreased in recent years, making it very precious.
