This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our shop, created by the renowned Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of King Pahlavi. While lecturing at the Tehran University of Art, he produced jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the individuality of each turquoise, further enhance its charm. The back of each turquoise is individually engraved in gold to match the stone's shape.

Characteristics of Persian Natural Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), traveled to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, known for its hardness and vibrant, deep sky-blue color, often called "the color of spring sky." In fact, it was this very stone that humans first used as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it was cherished as the royal family's stone for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the primary source, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. While much American Arizona turquoise is brought to Japan, this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreasing production and rarity in recent years.
