This is a one-of-a-kind original design by our store, crafted by the renowned Iranian engraver Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the jewelers for the royal family during the reign of King Pahlavi. While lecturing at the University of Fine Arts in Tehran, he also produced jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate design, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhances its allure. The back of each turquoise stone is engraved with gold, individually shaped to match the stone's unique form.

Features of Natural Persian Firuzeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, originally mined in ancient Persia (Iran), traveled through Turkey to Europe, which is how it acquired the name "turquoise," meaning "Turkish." Persian turquoise is a vibrant, deep sky-blue color, often described as "the color of a spring sky," and is of the highest quality with high hardness. In fact, this was the first stone used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished by the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the primary source of the highest quality turquoise, it is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other locations, with varying qualities. While much turquoise imported into Japan comes from Arizona in the USA, this natural Persian "firuzeh" (turquoise) is rarely introduced due to its rarity and significantly decreased output in recent years.
