This is an original design, a one-of-a-kind piece crafted by the renowned Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri, exclusively for our store.
Mr. Javaheri was an engraver who, during the reign of King Pahlavi, served as one of the royal family's jewelers. While lecturing at the University of Tehran's School of Fine Arts, he also created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007.
His delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each piece of turquoise, further enhance the stone's appeal.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), traveled to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is known for its vivid, deep sky blue color, often called "the color of spring sky," and is a high-quality stone with excellent hardness. In fact, it was the first stone humanity used as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places, with varying qualities. While much turquoise from Arizona, USA, is brought into Japan, this Persian "Firouzeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreasing production in recent years, making it a valuable gem.
