Characteristics of Natural Persian Turquoise Jewelry
This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), traveled to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is known for its vivid, deep sky blue color, often called "the color of spring sky," and is a high-quality stone with excellent hardness. In fact, it was the first stone humanity used as a protective amulet.
In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places, with varying qualities. While much turquoise from Arizona, USA, is brought into Japan, this Persian "Firouzeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreasing production in recent years, making it a valuable gem.
Enjoy the vivid, gentle sky blue, the unique Persian blue of natural Persian turquoise, often called "the color of spring sky," which blends well with any skin tone.
