This is an original design unique to our shop, crafted by the renowned Iranian goldsmith, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Javaheri, a master engraver, served as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While also lecturing at the Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to each turquoise's unique character, further enhance the allure of the turquoise stones.

This stone, once mined in Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, which is how the name "turquoise" (meaning "Turkish") originated. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, known for its hardness and vibrant, deep sky blue color, often referred to as "the color of a spring sky." In fact, it was one of the first stones used by humankind as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it was cherished as a royal family stone for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other regions, with varying qualities. While much of the turquoise brought to Japan comes from Arizona in the United States, Persian "Firoozeh" (turquoise) is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreased output in recent years, making it quite precious.
