This is a one-of-a-kind original design by the renowned Iranian engraver Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who served as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of King Pahlavi. While lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he produced jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance the allure of the turquoise.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise, known as "the color of spring skies," is a vibrant, deep sky-blue, high-quality stone with excellent hardness. In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it has long been cherished as the stone of the royal family, and this "Persian blue" was highly prized during the Victorian era. Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, etc., with varying qualities. While much of the turquoise brought into Japan comes from Arizona, USA, the Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" has become rare due to a sharp decline in production in recent years, making it less commonly introduced.
