This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our store by Mr. Javaheri, a renowned Iranian engraver. Reza Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of the Pahlavi kings. While lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate design, tailored to the individuality of each turquoise, further enhances the beauty of the stone.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, which is how the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is a vibrant, deep sky blue, often called "the color of spring skies," and is the highest quality stone with high hardness. In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as an amulet for warding off evil.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this "Persian Blue" was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise of varying quality is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. Many turquoise stones from Arizona, USA, are imported into Japan, but the natural Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreasing output in recent years and its resulting rarity.
