This is a one-of-a-kind original design by the famous Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri, exclusively for our shop. Mr. Reza Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at the Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance the charm of the turquoise. The back of each turquoise stone is engraved with gold, carefully shaped to fit the stone.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, with high hardness and a vibrant, deep sky-blue color known as the "color of the spring sky." In fact, this was the first stone humanity used as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, this stone was cherished by the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places, with varying qualities. While American Arizona turquoise is often imported into Japan, this Persian "firuze" (turquoise) is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreased production in recent years, making it a valuable gem.
