This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our shop by the renowned Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Reza Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. His delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhance the charm of the stones. The back of each turquoise stone is hand-engraved in gold, individually shaped to match the stone.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, known for its vivid, deep sky-blue color, often called "the color of spring sky," and its high hardness. In fact, it was the first stone used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best source, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. While much American Arizona turquoise is imported into Japan, this Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its significantly decreased production in recent years, making it very precious.
