This is a one-of-a-kind original design by our store, crafted by the renowned Iranian metalsmith, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was a metalsmith who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at the University of Tehran's School of Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhance its appeal. The back of each turquoise stone is meticulously hand-engraved with gold, matching the shape of the stone.

Characteristics of Natural Persian Firuze (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, originally mined in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, known for its vivid, deep sky-blue color, often called "the color of spring sky," and its high hardness. In fact, it was the first stone used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places, with varying qualities. While much of the turquoise brought to Japan comes from Arizona in the United States, Persian "firuze (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreased output in recent years, making it a valuable gem.
