This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and while it takes more effort to weave, it is a Luri-baf Gabbeh, which is thinner and more tightly woven than regular Gabbehs.
"Luri" means "fine" in Persian, and "baf" means "weave."

Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, nomadic people who roam the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool to create long-pile rugs rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high oil content for effective body temperature regulation.
These Gabbeh rugs, made from wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, thread by thread, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Gabbeh rugs, born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and airy in summer, so they don't feel hot.
And above all, their artistry. Gabbeh rugs created from the imagination of nomads often feature animal and plant designs, and each one is a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, one that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Points to Note
As these are hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed for shipping
The pom-poms on the corners or in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
