Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled, vegetable-dyed wool rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, and are deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture is rich in natural oils, allowing for effective temperature regulation.
Gabbeh are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel, as Iranian nomads carefully hand-weave each strand of this wool, dyed with natural dyes.
Well-woven Gabbeh are so durable that they are said to last 100 years.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are also warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there's its artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, original piece with no two alike.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a well-wrung towel. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye unevenness. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dye used on the wool may occur.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.
If you request, the pompoms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
