Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads of Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool with a long pile, deeply rooted in their way of life. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant-feeling texture contains a lot of oil to effectively regulate body temperature.
These Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven meticulously by Iranian nomads, one strand at a time, using naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting superior durability.
Gabbeh, born from the extreme temperature differences between day and night, also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated, not feeling hot, in summer.
And, above all, is their artistry. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, original item.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove any detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Points to Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape, pattern distortions, weaving unevenness, and dye variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used for the wool may occur.
The smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
