Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven carpets made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a high amount of oil to effectively regulate body temperature.
These Gabbeh, woven by Iranian nomads one by one with care using wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from the drastic temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing heat retention.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on the wall as art.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping.
The pom-poms on the corners or in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pom-poms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
