Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are hand-woven using wool dyed with natural plant dyes. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant-to-the-touch texture contains a lot of oil to effectively regulate body temperature.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.

Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
