This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and because it takes more effort to weave, it is a Luri Baf Gabbeh, which is thinner and more densely woven than regular Gabbeh.
Luri means "fine" and Baf means "weave" in Persian.

Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile carpets rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture is rich in oils, allowing for effective temperature regulation.
Gabbeh, made by nomads in Iran who carefully hand-weave each thread after dyeing the wool with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Gabbeh, created in a climate with drastic temperature differences between day and night, also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.
And above all, there is its artistic quality. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature animal and plant designs, with each piece being a unique, original item with no two alike.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a wet cloth to remove any detergent residue and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may occur.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping

The pom-poms located at the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
