This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and while it requires more effort to weave, it is a Luri-baf Gabbeh, which is thinner and more tightly woven than regular Gabbehs.
"Luri" means "fine" and "baf" means "weave" in Persian.

Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled, hand-woven carpets made by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil, making it soft and pleasant to the touch, which helps in regulating body temperature.
Gabbeh, hand-woven by Iranian nomads, one by one, with this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.
And, above all, their artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature animal and plant designs, with each one being a unique, original piece.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a distinctive odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can also be removed for shipping

If requested, the pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
