Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven carpets made from vegetable-dyed wool by the Qashqai tribe, who are nomadic in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and has a soft, pleasant feel with a high oil content to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh rugs, woven individually by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Please Note

Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a distinctive odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
