Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai nomadic tribe in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool with a long pile, deeply rooted in their way of life. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, along with a soft and pleasant texture containing a high oil content for effective body temperature regulation.
These characteristics contribute to the soft and comfortable feel of Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven meticulously by Iranian nomads, thread by thread, after the wool is dyed with natural dyes.
A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, demonstrating its exceptional durability.
Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are also warm in winter and breathable in summer, preventing heat buildup.
And, above all, there's their artistry. Gabbeh rugs, imagined and created by nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, original piece with no two alike.
They can not only be laid on the floor but also hung on walls as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and let it dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to the hand-woven nature, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. As such, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
