Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are deeply ingrained in the lives of the Qashqai nomads who weave them by hand in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed, long-pile wool. The "Persian Valiant" wool used in this product comes from sheep living in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, giving it excellent durability and a soft, pleasant feel with a high oil content for effective body temperature regulation.
The Gabbeh rugs are made by nomads in Iran, who dye this wool with natural dyes and hand-weave each strand carefully. They are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and breathable in summer, offering a cool sensation.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh rugs created from the nomads' imaginations often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
The scent will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping

The pom-poms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery upon request.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
