Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs, deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai tribe who nomadize the Zagros Mountains in Iran. They are hand-woven using wool dyed with natural plant dyes. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product is known for its excellent durability, allowing sheep to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture rich in oils for effective body temperature regulation.
Gabbeh, woven by Iranian nomads meticulously hand-knotting each strand of this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are incredibly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the unique characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.

They can be laid on the floor, of course, but are also artistic enough to be hung on walls.
