Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai nomadic tribe in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.
Gabbeh rugs, made by nomadic Iranians who carefully hand-weave each strand of this natural-dyed wool, are characterized by their soft and fluffy feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.
And above all, there's its artistic quality. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature animal and plant designs, and each one is a unique, original piece, with no two being exactly alike.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
If dirt is noticeable: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape, pattern, weaving, and dyeing. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a distinctive odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
The odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can be removed for shipping

The pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pompoms does not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
