Gabbeh rugs are handwoven by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool with a long pile, deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being handwoven, there may be irregularities in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of handweaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
