Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven carpets made by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian variant wool used in this product, known as "Persian Variant," is characterized by its excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant feel, containing a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a distinctive odor from the dye used on the wool may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
