Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who are nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool and rooted in their daily lives. Daily Care
Remove dust and dirt with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. For persistent stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
