Characteristics of the Region (Qom)
Qom is a region famous for silk carpets, so much so that "Qom" is often synonymous with "silk carpet." It produces the finest carpets in Iran. Qom is located in the northern part of Iran. It uses silk and very high-quality soft wool. The designs are also very rich. Various colors are used very skillfully, and pastel colors, soft colors, and ivory are often seen. Most of these artistic carpets bear the signature of the workshop.
What are Persian Rugs?
Persian rugs are carpets woven in Iran. They have a long history and are renowned for their beauty and durability, which allows them to be passed down through generations. They are one of the most outstanding artistic crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in carpet design and materials used across regions, Iran boasts a wide variety of carpets. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian nomadic tribes. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess an unparalleled charm. By incorporating a unique Persian rug, one of a kind in the world, into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily Care (Silk)
Vacuum any dust from the surface along the pile. If you spill drinks, first absorb the liquid with something absorbent (such as kitchen paper or tissues). Then, place a dry towel under the rug, and gently blot with a firmly wrung towel moistened with water and neutral detergent. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with an absorbent material and hang the rug in a well-ventilated area to dry.
Points to Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or dyeing unevenness. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
