Characteristics of the production area (Qom)
Qom is a famous production area for silk rugs, to the point where it's synonymous with silk rugs. They produce the finest rugs in Iran. Qom is located in the northern part of Iran. They use silk and very high-quality soft wool. The designs are also very rich. Various colors are used very skillfully, and pastel colors, soft colors, and ivory are particularly common. Most rugs are signed by the workshop, making them works of art.
What is a Persian rug?
A Persian rug is a rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is known for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most outstanding art crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug design and materials used across various production areas, Iran boasts a wide variety of rugs. From delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups, there is a diverse range. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs have an unparalleled appeal. By incorporating a Persian rug with its unique, one-of-a-kind charm into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily care (silk)
Vacuum any dust from the surface along the nap of the rug. If you spill a drink, first absorb the liquid with something highly absorbent (such as kitchen paper or tissues). Then, place a dry towel on the back of the rug and, using water and a neutral detergent, gently blot the stain with a tightly wrung out towel. Finally, absorb as much moisture as possible with an absorbent material and air dry in a well-ventilated area.
Please note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or dye variations. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
