Characteristics of the production area (Qom)
Qom is a famous production area for silk rugs, to the extent that "Qom" comes to mind when one thinks of silk rugs. It produces the finest rugs in Iran. Qom is located in northern Iran. It uses silk and very high-quality soft wool. The designs are also very rich. Various colors are used very skillfully, with pastel colors, soft colors, and ivory being particularly common. Most rugs are of artistic level, bearing the signature of the workshop.
What is a Persian rug?
A Persian rug is a rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is famous for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most outstanding artistic crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug design and materials used by region, there is a wide variety of rugs in Iran. From delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups, there's a broad spectrum. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By incorporating a Persian rug with its unique, one-of-a-kind charm into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily Care (Silk)
Vacuum the surface along the pile to remove dust. If you spill a drink, first absorb the moisture with something highly absorbent (such as paper towels or tissues). Then, place a dry towel on the back of the rug, and using water and a neutral detergent, gently dab with a tightly wrung out towel or similar. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with an absorbent material and dry in a well-ventilated area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or color variations. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
