Characteristics of the Region (Qom)
Qom is a region famous for silk rugs, to the point that it is synonymous with them. It produces the finest rugs in Iran. Qom is located in the northern part of Iran. It uses silk and very high-quality soft wool. The designs are also very diverse. Various colors are expertly used, with pastel colors, soft colors, and ivory being particularly common. Most rugs are of artistic quality and bear the workshop's signature.
What is a Persian rug?
A Persian rug is a type of rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is famous for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most outstanding examples of fine arts and crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug designs and materials used depending on the region of origin, Iran offers a wide variety of rugs. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess an unparalleled charm. By introducing a Persian rug, with its unique and one-of-a-kind charm, into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily Care (Silk)
Vacuum any dust from the surface along the pile. If you spill a drink, first absorb the moisture with an absorbent material (such as a paper towel or tissue). Then, place a dry towel under the rug and gently dab the area with a tightly wrung out towel soaked in water and a neutral detergent. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with an absorbent material and hang the rug in a well-ventilated area to dry.
Important Notes
As these are hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or color variations. Please enjoy these as part of the unique charm of a hand-woven item.
