Characteristics of the Production Area (Nain)
Nain is a city located in central Iran, near Isfahan. Nain rugs are very popular and similar in design to those from Isfahan. Cotton is used for the foundation, and wool or silk are often used for the pile. The designs frequently feature a medallion with Shah Abbasi floral patterns. Ivory and beige are used for the field color, often with accents of red, green, blue, and pink. The Habiban workshop is particularly famous, known for its high-quality rugs.
What is a Persian rug?
A Persian rug is a rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is famous for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most excellent art crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Since the design and materials used vary by production area, Iran has a wide variety of rugs. There are delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops, as well as simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian nomadic tribes. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs have a unique appeal that is unmatched. By introducing a unique Persian rug, one of a kind in the world, into your room, you can further enhance its ambiance.
Daily Care (Wool & Silk)
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile direction. If you are concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Afterwards, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight irregularities in shape, weaving, and dye. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
