Leather Javaheri was a goldsmith who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he crafted jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007.
His delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance their allure.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality, with high hardness and a vibrant, deep blue sky color known as "the color of the spring sky." In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly prized during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places, with varying qualities. While much of the turquoise brought to Japan comes from Arizona in the US, this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its significantly reduced output in recent years, making it quite rare.
