Characteristics of the Origin (Sirjan)

Sirjan is a city located in the southern part of Iran, belonging to Kerman Province. Kilims woven in Sirjan are called "Suzani" or "Silki Pichi," and the city is registered as a kilim production area with UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
Sirjan kilims are characterized by their very dense and firm weave. Nomadic women weave them from imagination without a design, so their delicacy and intricacy are astonishing. They are Soumak woven, with little fuzz on the surface, and often feature animal and geometric patterns.
Additionally, Sirjan kilims often have deep color tones, with red extracted from cherries, blue from eggplant skin, yellow from saffron, green from walnut leaves, and brown from walnut husks or tobacco. Due to these characteristics, Sirjan kilims are highly regarded worldwide and cherished as beautiful crafts.

What is a Kilim?

Persian hand-woven kilims are globally popular traditional hand-woven textiles that become more appealing with age. Depending on when they were woven, they are called vintage kilims, old kilims, or antique kilims, and are loved by people of all ages. While most kilims are wool, some are also produced using cotton or silk. They use natural materials. Since natural dyes are used for coloring, you can use them with peace of mind. These hand-woven kilims are durably woven and are based on the design styles of tribes and ethnic groups, known as tribal rugs. They are characterized by geometric patterns inspired by nature and animals, and each kilim has its own unique design.
Various ethnic groups live in the vast land of Iran. The designs and colors vary by region of origin, allowing you to enjoy a diverse range of design patterns.

Other Uses for Kilims

Kilims are widely used not only as rugs and floor coverings, but also as decorative items on walls, sofas, tables, beds, and other interior elements. Their unique designs and colors are distinctive, and they are often used as accents in a room. Kilims are not merely decorative items; they are positioned as important elements that enrich the overall atmosphere of a room and highlight its individuality. They add a unique charm and warmth to a room's space. By utilizing kilims, you can create a life with art and comfort, and enjoy a life surrounded by things you love.

Kilims and Interior Design

Kilims are highly versatile and can be incorporated into various interior styles. In modern interiors, incorporating the unique patterns and colors of a kilim into a simple space adds an accent. For natural or Scandinavian interiors, pairing a kilim with wooden furniture, plants, or other natural materials can enhance its warmth and natural atmosphere. They also go well with bohemian styles; placing them on the floor or hanging them on the wall can elevate the overall ambiance of the room. Kilims have ethnic designs and tribal atmospheres, making them compatible with interiors that incorporate cultural elements from Iran, Turkey, Morocco, and other regions. Arranging them as tapestries or cushions can add warmth and depth to the entire room.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom. If you are concerned about stains, dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Notes

As these are hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or color variations. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.

The first one was a doormat, which I bought online. It was a really good product, so this time I came to the store looking for a Gabbeh large enough to place in front of my sofa. I received very polite service and found a favorite piece, which I immediately decided on. It really suits the atmosphere of my home, and I'm glad I bought it. Thank you very much.

I bought a Persian rug from an online shop for the first time.
I was a bit anxious about buying a Persian rug online because its appearance can change so much depending on the light, but the polite and thorough answers I received when I called to ask questions put me at ease and I went ahead with the purchase.
Although the actual rug was a little darker than expected, I'm delighted to have found such a wonderful item that met my expectations.
They also handled my request for a tapestry finish quickly and with great care, making for a very pleasant shopping experience.
The finish was also meticulously done and beautiful.
I would definitely like to use their services again.

This was my first purchase. I had been looking for a Gabbeh for my living room and had seen many in person, but I couldn't find anything that really spoke to me. Then I found one on your website and it was love at first sight, so I bought it immediately. I was a little worried about buying something based solely on an image, but the actual product was just as wonderful as I imagined. The packaging was also very careful, and it even came with a letter! Thank you so much for the beautiful Persian tapestry as well. I've hung it in my entryway. I look forward to shopping with you again if the opportunity arises.
