This Persian hand-woven Gabbeh rug is sized for entrance mats, suitable for slightly larger entryways like those in detached houses.
It will brighten up your entryway, a space you walk through every day.
Besides entryways, its size also makes it easy to place in vacant spaces such as next to a bed or in front of a single sofa.
It is soft, plush, and has a pleasant texture that can be used all year round.
As a one-of-a-kind hand-woven item, please enjoy its unique design.
This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and because it takes more effort to weave, it is a Lizebaf Gabbeh, which is thinner and has a denser weave than regular Gabbehs.
“Lize” means "fine" and “baf” means "weave" in Persian.

Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Rugs
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs made from plant-dyed wool, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, and are deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.
These Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven meticulously by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are said to last for 100 years, demonstrating their exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.
And above all, there is their artistic quality. Gabbeh rugs created imaginatively by nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even displayed on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can enjoy for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dyes may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
