This Persian hand-woven Gabbeh rug is sized perfectly as a doormat for slightly larger entrances, such as those in detached houses.
It will brighten up your entryway, a space you walk through every day.
Besides the entrance, its versatile size makes it easy to place in empty spaces like beside your bed or in front of a single sofa.
It features a soft, plush texture that feels pleasant all year round.
Enjoy a one-of-a-kind design with this hand-woven piece.
This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, making it a "Lizebaf Gabbeh" which is thinner and more tightly woven than regular Gabbeh due to the extra effort involved in its creation.
"Lize" means "fine" in Persian, and "baf" means "weave."

Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads of Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool with a long pile that is deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with high oil content for effective body temperature regulation.
This wool is dyed with natural dyes, and each Gabbeh is meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, resulting in a plush and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last up to 100 years.
Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and airy in summer, making them feel cool even in hot weather.
And above all, there's their artistry. Gabbeh rugs, imaginatively created by nomads, often feature animal and plant designs, and each one is a unique, original piece.
They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but they can also be displayed as art on walls.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape, pattern, weaving, and dyeing. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a distinctive odor from the dyes used on the wool may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
