This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and while it requires more effort to weave, it is a Luri-baf Gabbeh with less thickness and tighter weave than regular Gabbeh.
"Luri" means "fine" and "baf" means "weave" in Persian.

Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its hair quality is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a lot of fat to regulate body temperature well.
The Gabbeh, made by nomads in Iran who dye this wool with natural dyes and meticulously hand-weave each strand, are characterized by their plush and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting superior durability.
Born from a climate with drastic temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh created by nomads from imagination often feature designs of animals and plants, with no two being alike; each one is an original, unique item.
They are suitable for laying on the floor, of course, but also for displaying on walls as art.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
The odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Tassels can be removed before shipping.
The tassels attached to the corners and sides of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the tassels does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
