Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are hand-woven, long-pile rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically inhabit the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a high amount of oil to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh, made by hand-dyeing this wool with natural dyes and meticulously hand-weaving each strand by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their plush and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are also known for being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there is their artistic quality. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature animal and plant designs, and each piece is a unique original, with no two alike.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.

Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
While the odor will gradually dissipate with use, we ask for your understanding in advance.
