Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are deeply rooted in their daily lives, made from plant-dyed wool with a long pile. The Persian Variant wool used in this product is known for its excellent durability, developed to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture due to its high lanolin content, which helps regulate body temperature.
The Gabbeh, woven meticulously by hand, thread by thread, by Iranian nomads after dyeing the wool with natural dyes, is characterized by its fluffy and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and airy in summer, giving a feeling of coolness.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh rugs, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature animal and plant designs, making each one a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on the wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh rug, one that you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to the nature of hand-weaving, there may be slight distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing unevenness. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. As such, a unique smell from the wool dye may be present.
This smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping

The pom-poms located at the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
