Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Rugs

Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, nomadic people in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, developed to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a high amount of natural oil for effective body temperature regulation, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven product.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
