Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven carpets made from vegetable-dyed wool by the Qashqai nomadic tribe in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as a soft and pleasant texture rich in natural oils, which helps regulate body temperature. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. If you notice dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item. Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the wool dye may occur. This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
