This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and because it requires more effort to weave, it is a Luri-baf Gabbeh, which is thinner and has a denser weave than regular Gabbehs.
"Luri" means "fine" and "baf" means "weave" in Persian.
Vintage Gabbehs are antique Gabbehs that have passed a certain amount of time since they were made, possessing a unique atmosphere and value.

Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Rugs
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively, resulting in soft and pleasant-to-the-touch fibers.
Gabbeh rugs, woven by Iranian nomads one thread at a time using natural dyes on this wool, are characterized by their soft and plush feel.
Well-woven Gabbehs are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with large temperature differences between day and night, Gabbehs are warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing them from feeling hot.
And, above all, is their artistic quality. Gabbehs created from the nomads' imagination often feature animal and plant designs, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but are also artistic enough to be hung on a wall.
Why not find a special Gabbeh just for you, one that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a cloth or towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, or dyeing irregularities. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the dye used on the wool may occur.
The scent will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
