Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, grass-dyed wool carpets hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, and are deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a lot of oil to regulate body temperature well.
The Gabbeh, made by dyeing this wool with natural dyes and meticulously hand-weaving each thread by Iranian nomads, is characterized by its fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are so durable that they are said to last 100 years.
Gabbeh, born from the climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing you from feeling hot.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature animal and plant designs, and each one is a unique, original piece.
They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but also hung on the wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care

This odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
