Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. These Gabbeh, hand-woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads using wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from the climate of extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.
And above all, there is their artistic quality. Gabbeh created by nomads from their imagination often feature animal and plant designs, and each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor, of course, but also hung on walls as art.

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.

Points to Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
