Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using wool dyed with natural plant dyes. The Persian variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is rich in natural oils, making it soft and pleasant to the touch, and adept at regulating body temperature.
Gabbeh, woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting excellent durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor, of course, but also displayed as art on a wall.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth, and gently wipe the surface. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please appreciate these as part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the dye used on the wool may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
