Daily Care

Remove dust and dirt by vacuuming or sweeping along the nap of the rug.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight irregularities in shape or pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and color variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a hand-woven product.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. As a result, a distinctive odor from the wool dyes may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.

Pom-poms can be removed for shipping

The pom-poms located at the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh rug can be removed before shipping if you request it.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh rug.
