Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically weave them by hand using vegetable-dyed wool in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft texture with high oil content allows for effective temperature regulation.
Gabbeh rugs, made from this wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Important Notes

Due to the hand-woven nature, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used for the wool may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.

Pompoms can also be removed before shipping.

If you request, the pompoms on the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed before delivery.
Removing the pompoms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
