Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using wool dyed with natural dyes. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft and pleasant texture, rich in fat, is ideal for body temperature regulation. Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven by Iranian nomads thread by thread using naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel. A well-woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, boasting excellent durability. Gabbeh, born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, is warm in winter and airy in summer, creating a sensation of coolness. And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh rugs, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being an original and unique item. They can be placed on the floor or even hung on a wall as art. How about finding your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products. Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dye used on the wool may be present. The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping

The pompoms on the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping. Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh. If you would like the pompoms removed before shipping, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
