Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile carpets hand-woven by the Qashqai nomadic tribe in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian variant wool used in this product is known for its excellent durability, essential for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture due to its high oil content, which helps regulate body temperature.
These Gabbeh, hand-woven thread by thread by Iranian nomads using naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are also warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh created from the nomads' imaginations often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
